Lions, tigers, eagles, wolves, wings, feathers and flowers. Realistic or illustrative, drawn to move with the muscle.
Animals are some of the most requested pieces we draw. People often bring us an animal that has meant something to them for years: a lion, a tiger, an eagle, a wolf or a family pet.
What separates a good animal tattoo from a sticker is how it sits on the body. Feathers should follow the curve of the arm, a big cat’s face should sit where the muscle gives it shape, and a bird in flight needs space to open its wings. We plan placement first and draw the design around it.
Bring a few photos of the animal in the pose or expression you like, and tell us where on the body you’re thinking of. If you’re planning a sleeve or a large back piece, say so at the start, so the first tattoo leaves room for what comes next.
Faces and heads suit the outer arm, chest and calf, where there is a flat area to show the eyes. Full bodies, wings and flight scenes need the space of a back, thigh or full sleeve.
Usually, yes. Bring the existing tattoo to the consultation and we’ll design the new piece to flow into it rather than sit next to it.
Yes. Colour works especially well for birds, flowers and illustrative styles. Fur and feathers in realism usually look best in black and grey.
Send a reference and the placement on WhatsApp, or book a consultation at the studio. Either way, nothing is inked until you’ve approved the drawing.
