Names and lettering

Names, dates and quotes, drawn, spaced and checked properly in the script you choose.

Lettering looks like the easiest tattoo to get right, and it’s the one people most often come to us to fix. Bad spacing, letters that crowd together as they heal, a font that looked fine on a phone but unreadable on skin. Lettering needs its own skills: the spacing, letter shapes and size all have to work on skin.

We draw lettering by hand or adapt a typeface so each letter fits its neighbours, then size it for where it’s going. A name on the wrist, a date on the collarbone and a quote down the ribs all need different treatment.

What people ask for

How we avoid spelling mistakes

Send us the exact text in writing, not as a voice note. We print the final lettering at full size, you read it back letter by letter, and only then is it stencilled. For scripts you don’t read yourself, check the spelling with someone who does before your appointment.

Questions about this

Yes. Bring the original note or card, or a clear photo of it. We clean up the lines so they tattoo well while keeping the character of the handwriting.

Yes. Send the text typed in the script, and we’ll draw it so the letters and matras sit correctly.

It depends on the font and length, but very fine small text blurs over time. We’ll show you the smallest size that will stay readable.

Have an idea? Let's draw it.

Send a reference and the placement on WhatsApp, or book a consultation at the studio. Either way, nothing is inked until you’ve approved the drawing.
